Friday 3-28-14

Tonight we will be hosting the last WOD of the 2014 CrossFit Games Open here at Reebok CrossFit ONE from 5-8pm. This night will be dedicated to the lives of fallen Boston Fire Fighters Mike Kennedy of Ladder 15 and Lieutenant Eddie Walsh of Engine 33; both from the Boylston Street fire house. The pair lost their lives while battling the 9 alarm blaze that occurred on Wednesday at 296 Beacon Street. Mike Kennedy was an avid CrossFitter and loved member of the CrossFit Together, Craic, and Florian communities. The 33 year old Marine Corps combat vet had been serving the City of Boston for the past six years. Lieutenant Eddie Walsh was a 43 year old father of 3 children with over 10 years of experience on the Boston Fire Department. A $10 donation to participate in the WOD would be greatly appreciated as all proceeds will go directly to The Walsh Kennedy Memorial Fund. CrossFit is all about community so let’s come together tomorrow night to show  our support and solidarity for Eddie and Mike’s families and honor the lives of these two brave men. The communities of CrossFit Together, Craic, and Florian as well as friends and family are welcome to come over and throw down for 14.5 and show their support for Mike.
