Reebok Nor'Easter Masters Competition June 29-30

The Nor-Easter is a two-day fitness competition. Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th, 2013. The Nor-Easter is for athletes ages 40 and up.  Age groups in each gender will be 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60+. The Nor’Easter is presented by TJ’s Gym Events, the engine behind the wildly successful NorCal 40′s and NorCal Masters events.  We are taking our show on the road, landing in Canton, MA, and in partnership with Reebok.  Reebok has generously and enthusiastically opened their Reebok CrossFit One gym for the event, and it promises to be an incredible weekend. Workouts will be challenging and will include advanced movements and weights appropriate for competitive Masters athletes.  There will be no scaled divisions, but we have always been extremely inclusive and encourage you to join the competition, even if you’re not a high-level competitor.  We look forward to the usual gritty performances and inspiring stories we have come to expect from the Masters group. We expect to cap registration at 200 athletes. See registration page for more info. Email allison@tjsgym.com with...

Well Reebizzlers, you asked and we have delivered! We are going to open the gym to your partners and spouses. CrossFit spills over into our lives beyond the four walls of the gym, building confidence, strength, and courage to do the things you may have once thought was out of reach. Now you can share your journey with your special person, and invite them into a world that, right now only exists to them at the dinner table, or over a morning coffee. We are excited to open our doors, and extend our Reebok CrossFit ONE family to the people that support you and put up with all the WOD talk day in and day out. Isn’t this romantic? You’ll be exchanging deadlift PR’s and pull up technique before you know it! Beautiful. Monday Schedule Update!

In light of Mondays tragic events at the Boston Marathon the coaches of Reebok CrossFit ONE would like to join members of senior management in the Spine at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, April 22. We will move outside at the time of the first blast for a moment of silence and walk a silent lap around the Canton campus in a show of solidarity. We encourage others to do so as well and therefore we are canceling the both 2:00 classes (both Endurance and Masters classes) for the day.  Thank you for your understanding and please feel free to contact us with concerns. ~Reebok CrossFit ONE Coaching...

Tall, Slender and Strong too!!!! Michelle Pares on Why She CrossFits…

Last week I sent an email out to a few people looking for inspiration for the team. I wanted to know what inspires people, to come in and CrossFit.. and also what inspires them and you, to watch people like Austin and Mel and the Reebok CrossFit ONE team compete.  Why do you come, what does it do for YOU, does it inspire you, does it simply entertain? What’s your reason? I got a spectacular email back from Michelle Pares, and with her permission thought I’d share it with all of you.  It’s reading things like this that in turn inspire all of us coaches to continue to push you and ourselves to be better, do better and in turn we perform better.  Thank you all for inspiring us every day! Why I do CrossFit: It’s interesting, if you would’ve asked the same question last year, my answer would be different. Last year, I was doing CrossFit mainly because I love the community. I enjoyed going to the lunchtime class with my friends & coworkers and it was a nice way to break up the day.  The thought of doing the RX weight terrified me, and I would cherry pick the classes when I just didn’t want to do a certain movement. A year has passed and my reasoning for doing CrossFit has completely changed.  I do it to challenge myself, to make myself better. I have never felt this good, this energized, and this confident before. And I go because I want to continue feeling this way. This past year myself and my ‘workout buddy/boyfriend’, Andrew, have really...
