MATT DELLAVALLE

Matt first discovered CrossFit in 2006 while studying law at William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA.  For an hour each day, CrossFit allowed him to unplug from law school and retreat to a world of fitness, friendship and fun. Here, Matt developed an undeniable passion for improving human movement and coaching others to their best “self.” That deep passion would soon alter his professional career and forever change his life.

In the years since law school, Matt coached daily at top CrossFit affiliates like CrossFit New England and Reebok CrossFit ONE. Matt also worked on the “corporate side” of the CrossFit economy as an operations consultant for Again Faster Equipment and Kill Cliff. Currently, Matt coaches as a member of CrossFit HQ Seminar Staff and works for Reebok World Headquarters helping to define the company’s strategy for affiliate relationships. Matt is as a Level 3 Certified CrossFit Trainer, and to this day, he finds incredible meaning in every minute he spends within the walls of a CrossFit affiliate.

DENISE THOMAS

Denise has been with Reebok CrossFit ONE since its inception in 2010. In 2012, she spent a year overseas as our Reebok CrossFit Ambassador, consulting and developing Reebok flagship gyms. Over the last 15 years, Denise has been no stranger to travel, earning herself the nickname ‘Gypsy’ from traveling the World as an International soccerq player, and as part of the CFHQ Seminar Training Team. Denise brings a lot of experience, passion and smiles to Reebok with her British ways. Since finding CrossFit in 2008, she has competed at both the Regional level, the CrossFit Games, and has also experienced life on the other side of the barbell, as a CrossFit Games Head Judge in years 2011 – 2014. She loves seeing people demand more of themselves and achieving things they never knew possible – both in the gym and in life. On her travels, teaching CrossFit to the masses and representing Reebok, Denise shares her most powerful observation:

“I have taught CrossFit in over 20 countries and one thing never changes – the message. Coach Glassman’s message never changes. Regardless of the language, the country, or the people in it, the message always stays the same. CrossFit changes lives, and fit people make the world a better place. It is an honor to be a part of this extraordinary group of people that genuinely care about each other…and who like to run, lift and throw stuff around. It’s brilliant! Most fun ever!”

CONOR MURPHY

To me, CrossFit is much more than a strength and conditioning program. It is a way of life. It is a fitness regiment that teaches discipline, integrity, and camaraderie. Since I was young, I was involved in sports. The best part about being on a sports team is knowing that the guys to your right and left have been through the same training and will be there for you no matter what, with all they got. CrossFit is a way to replicate team sports, military life, family, and brotherhood all rolled into one. I was introduced to it in January of 2007. At the time, it was just a new way to work out. But it became a way to shape my life into who I am and who I strive to be. The main purpose of the knowledge I have gained over the years, learning from some of the best in the business, is to transfer it to the people I coach. To me, the highlight of any CrossFit competition is not my own performance, but that of those I see day-to-day putting in hard work.

ERIKA SNYDER

Erika joined us from CrossFit Fenway with 2 years of coaching CrossFit under her belt. She graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2008 with a major in Communications and a minor in Psychology. In her college career, she participated in Division II Crew and Division I Women’s Rugby. She has very much enjoyed being a part of team sports since she was 6 all the way through college.

She started out as a personal trainer after school looking to strengthen her knee from a Rugby injury. After doing “Fran,” enduring her first 7 minutes of scaled awesome, she was completely hooked. Erika found CrossFit to be the safest and most efficient way to get her to her strongest. It did not take long for her to fall in love with the sport and want to coach, compete, and learn more about it.

CrossFit has provided her a new way of life. It has given her the tools to help advance other people’s mental and physical capabilities beyond what they expect of themselves. Since CrossFit has done that for her as an athlete and person, she is looking forward to the opportunity to do the same for others at ONE.

KELLEY JACKSON

I have always been involved in sports but it wasn’t until I found CrossFit that I truly found my passion. I graduated from Northwood University in 2006 with a degree in Business and Sports Management and obtained my Masters in Business Administration in 2008. Attending a smaller University (D2) meant I didn’t have to give up either of the sports I loved; soccer and basketball. My first exposure to CrossFit was in 2010 where I was encouraged to give up my running routine and commit to CrossFit programming for one week. I’ve never looked back. In 2013, after years of managing a full time career and coaching part time, all while trying to qualify for the CrossFit Games, I took a risk and left the corporate world to pursue my passion, coaching and competing.. I’ve spent the last 15 months as a coach and manager, handling member relations and event coordination for CrossFit Gambit in St. Louis, Missouri. Taking the leap into coaching was the best decision I ever made. Every day I get to help people achieve their goals and watch as they accomplish tasks they never deemed possible. It’s such a rewarding profession. The most unique aspect of CrossFit is the community and I’m committed to building a positive, supportive and fun community in every CrossFit box I step into.

JOE MASLEY

I firmly believe in Coach Greg Glassman’s (founder and CEO of CrossFit) statement that “fit people and strong communities can change the world.” My goal everyday as a coach is to live by that phrase and communicate it to all those I am fortunate enough to train. CrossFit is all about the people that make up a gym, the community. Ever since being crushed by my first CrossFit workout, the hero WOD “Murph,” I realized after all the members of CrossFit South Shore helped me off the floor and slapped me on the back, that this fitness program was different from all the others and I would never look back.

Over the years, I have been blessed by the opportunites presented to me and all those who helped me along the way. Mentored by amazing coaches at CrossFit Southie, Reebok CrossFit ONE, and CrossFit Headquarters Seminar Staff, my CrossFit journey has taken me everywhere: from competing at the CrossFit Games as part of Team CrossFit Southie in 2012, to working Level 1 Seminars all over the world as part of CrossFit Headquarter’s Seminar Staff, to judging at the Games in 2013 and 2014. Today, working as a full-time Firefighter in Boston, CrossFit keeps me operatinally ready to handle any task I may encounter, and helps build comraderie through fitness in my firehouse.

The places and faces may change, but the one constant is always the people – the community. For me, there is no greater satisfaction than working with others to help them achieve their fitness goals and positively change their lives through CrossFit – the same way it was done for me.

Semper Fidelis
– Joe

JENNIFER SMITH

Jennifer joins us from Lexington, KY, where she previously coached at Crossfit Maximus. She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a major in Psychology. While at UK, she earned a full athletic scholarship to run Division I Track and Field (800M & Pole Vault). After graduating from college, Jennifer worked in medical sales for five years before realizing her true passion was Crossfit. Leaving the corporate world for to pursue my dreams of competing and coaching was a big risk, but you only live once.

After college, Jennifer was looking for something more exciting than just running alone. In 2010 she had an intro session at Crossfit Maximus where the “Baseline” workout left her feeling completely beat, and she was hooked. Jennifer came from an extremely active background, but she has never felt healthier, stronger, or more in shape than she does with Crossfit.

Crossfit brings people from all walks of life together and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing them improve. Improving on whatever their goals are.

PETE O’DONNELL

Pete hails from CrossFit Prowess, Seekonk, MA, and has been coaching CrossFit for three years. During this time, he spent ten months teaching overseas at Kandahar CrossFit while deployed. When Pete returned from overseas he jumped feet first into the world of CrossFit, and has never looked back. Pete pursued his CrossFit Level 2 and other CrossFit specialty courses to further his knowledge and experience. On obtaining his CF-L2, he reached out to us seeking professional development, and started shadowing classes. This eventually led to assisting, and finally taking full lead as an intern. Over the course of six months, his hard work, dedication, and relentless pursuit of excellence, has landed him a coaching position here at Reebok CrossFit ONE. Pete’s dedication and passion fuel him to be the best he possibly can be.

“I never had any expectations of becoming a coach at Reebok CrossFit ONE. My only goal was to further my skill set so I could provide a quality product for my athletes, and to have some fun along the way.”
